Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)
Location: Must be within 20–25 minutes of jobsite (commute required)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST
Hours per Week: 40
Employment Type: Full-Time (Temporary)
Work Setting: Patient Service Center / Doctor’s Office / Variable Locations
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our organization, providing high-quality patient care by collecting and preparing blood specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality, and a strong focus on customer service. PSR IIs are responsible for creating a welcoming environment, ensuring accurate specimen collection, and maintaining professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary).

Verify patient identity and confirm labeling accuracy post-venipuncture.

Maintain documentation and comply with confidentiality standards.

Promote a positive image to patients, coworkers, and the public.

Support multiple locations as needed, with minimal notice.

Follow all company policies, including dress code and health/safety standards.

Travel and work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Required Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary)

2 years in a Patient Service Center (preferred)
-
Customer service or retail experience (preferred)
-
Keyboard and data entry skills
-
Certifications:
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred
-
Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic (preferred)
Skills and Attributes:

Superior phlebotomy and patient interaction skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation (rideshare services not accepted)
