Job Title: Quality Control Inspector I
Location: Columbia, MD - onsite 21046
Duration: 06 Months+
Shift: 1st shift early (8 AM – 5 PM - M-F)
Pay Range: $25/Hr. on W2
Position: 1 Position
Screenings:
The QC roles WILL require the physical please, as a lot of their work is in the MFG space.
Candidate start date: Goal is September
The job requirements include the following essential areas of responsibility:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections/testing of materials, components, and finished products
- Conduct label inspections and verifications
- Enter inspection/test results into appropriate databases
- Review inspection records for compliance with product specifications
- Maintain quarantine areas in a controlled and organized manner
- Support RMA inspections (Return Material Authorization)
- Report non-conforming products to QC Management
- Participate in environmental monitoring (controlled areas + weekly water sampling)
- Perform product discard and destruction activities
- Maintain product retains as required
- Order supplies needed for QC/inspection activities
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily QC tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required ( Bachelor’s preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Quality Control experience (medical device or manufacturing preferred)
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
- Knowledge of quality control procedures in manufacturing/medical device environment
- Proficient in computer systems & databases
- Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safe work practices.
