Job Title: Phlebotomist I (Traveler)
Location: Varies – Doctor’s Office, Patient Service Center, or as business needs dictate
Shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (includes weekends)
Pay rate: $40.00/h in W2 contract
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist I (Traveler) to join our team. In this mobile role, you will serve as the face of our organization at various locations, ensuring high-quality specimen collection while delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires reliable travel to assigned sites and flexibility to meet evolving staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Professionally greet and interact with patients to ensure a positive experience

Perform venipuncture and capillary draws on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric

Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, following all safety and procedural protocols

Confirm and verify patient identity and label specimens in the presence of the patient

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all patient information is kept confidential

Uphold a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Travel to various sites as needed, often with minimal notice

Adhere to established policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines

Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, colleagues, and supervisors
-
Demonstrate adaptability and commitment to process excellence in a high-volume setting
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
-
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free specimen collection
-
Ability to work independently in a mobile capacity with minimal supervision
-
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record

Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
-
Comfortable working in various locations with high patient volumes
Credentialing Requirements:
-
Proof of immunization status (details provided during onboarding)
-
Current TB test
-
Flu vaccination or approved exemption
-
Submission of personal information (name, address, phone, DOB, SSN) for HR badge access
-
May be required to perform Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) – documentation of highest level of education required

Prior experience in a clinical or traveling phlebotomy role
