Title: Maintenance Scheduler
Duration: 6 months - possible to convert
Location: Freeport TX
Shift: M-F 8-5
Education: Bachelors degree preferred but not required; must have - Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and maintenance planning systems. Strong communication skills and broad knowledge of maintenance crafts and reliability principles. Knowledge of the applicable codes and technical requirements under OSHA PSM mechanical integrity program

3-5 years experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing as a maintenance scheduler

Purpose of the position
Works within Manufacturing Excellence principles and SOPs, cGMP, safety, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for detailed planning and scheduling of maintenance and turnaround tasks including corrective, preventive, and predictive work orders, emergency repairs, and operational tasks. Coordinates closely with Maintenance Technicians and Area Management.
Position context
Supports the Freeport site carotenoid production portfolio. The role ensures reliable asset availability, compliance with quality and safety standards, and cost-effective maintenance execution in a highly automated production environment.
Position content
a) Essential Responsibilities
1. Generate and maintain daily and weekly maintenance schedules.
2. Plan PM, PPM, and corrective work orders including materials, labor, and contractors.
3. Coordinate emergency repairs and reschedule work as needed.
4. Maintain maintenance data, equipment records, and functional locations in SAP.
5. Manage maintenance KPIs and backlog reporting.
6. Ensure compliance with SHE, Quality, and Client Life Saving Rules.
7. Coordinate materials, spare parts, and warehouse stock in SAP.
8. Support small projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge and educational level
Technical certification or Bachelors degree preferred. Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and maintenance planning systems. Strong communication skills and broad knowledge of maintenance crafts and reliability principles. Knowledge of the applicable codes and technical requirements under OSHA PSM mechanical integrity program
Required level of experiences
1. 3-5 years experience in chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing as a maintenance scheduler
