Specimen Technician
Title:Specimen Technician
Location: Batesville, AR
Shift: M-F 3:30p.m. to 10p.m.
Duration: 2+ months
Job Description:
The SPT I supports the Specimen Processing Department by performing tasks like data entry, specimen pickup/delivery, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting. Accuracy, organization, and the ability to learn and understand specimen types and compliance regulations are essential. Flexibility is required due to frequent changes, and the role involves working night shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
This position demands a high level of productivity and quality standards, with the ability to input 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour. The SPT I works in a biohazard environment, adhering to safety, compliance, and cleanliness protocols while maintaining effective communication with staff.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No experience required; prior lab or medical experience preferred.

Skills: Basic computer knowledge; familiarity with laboratory testing and specimen processing is a plus.
