Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join a high-performing radiology team. This role operates under the supervision of the Mammography Supervisor and Manager, delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring compliance with industry standards including ACR, MQSA, and The Joint Commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mammography and bone density (DEXA) procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Assist Radiologists with needle localization, stereotactic biopsy, and galactogram procedures
- Review patient history and physician orders prior to imaging; identify and escalate discrepancies
- Educate patients on procedures and ensure accurate, complete documentation
- Operate imaging equipment using proper radiation safety standards and technical protocols
- Prepare and submit imaging studies for timely interpretation
- Support Quality Assurance (QA) activities related to mammography and bone density
- Monitor patient condition and report any changes to Radiologist or Lead Technologist
- Assist with scheduling and workflow coordination
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and compliance initiatives
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Minimum 6–12 months of Epic experience within the past year (Required)
- Completion of a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- Active CRT (R) (M) and ARRT (R) certifications
- BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification
