Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner
Location: Milwaukee, WI, 53226
Duration: 05/26/2025 – 11/27/2025
Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 40 hours per week
Additional Scheduling Notes: Worksite is for Advanced Care, Pulmonary Clinic, In-person interview and job shadowing preferred (approx. 1.5 hours); open to virtual interviews if necessary.

Job Summary:

• Performs designated Respiratory Care and Pulmonary diagnostic procedures under established policies and physician orders.

• Provides therapeutic treatment and diagnostic testing with medical gases, aerosols, environmental systems, ventilatory support, breathing exercises, CPR, and airway management.

• Administers medications and performs bronchopulmonary clearance.

• Delivers care in both critical and non-critical care areas across all age groups.

• Follows the organization's mission, vision, and values.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Associate Degree from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program (required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care (preferred)

Licensure & Certifications:

• Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC

• New grads must obtain RRT credential within one year of hire

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)

• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire

• American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire (CHD only)

• Preferred: AARC and WSRC membership

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (worked or educational) in general and critical care

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care
