Phlebotomist II - Float
Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Float
Location: Oakland Park, FL
Duration: 5 months
Shift: Monday thru Friday 6:00am-3:30pm & Rotational Saturdays 6:30am-11:00am
Summary:
The PSR II is a front-line healthcare professional responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing. As the face of the organization, this role ensures a safe, accurate, and positive patient experience. PSR II positions may be based at a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or rotate across multiple sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform blood draws (venipuncture, capillary) on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Verify patient ID and label specimens in front of patients.

Maintain accurate records and ensure specimen integrity.

Provide exceptional customer service and build patient trust.

Travel to and cover multiple locations as needed, sometimes with short notice.

Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment.

Demonstrate leadership behavior and follow all protocols, including dress code and safety policies.
Required Skills & Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED); Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred; REQUIRED in CA, NV, and WA.

Experience:
-
3+ years phlebotomy experience (REQUIRED).

2+ years in Patient Service Center preferred.

Retail/service customer support and data entry experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:
-
Excellent pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills.

Must speak and understand basic Spanish.

Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license (clean driving record required).

Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

Mileage reimbursement available for floaters.
Other:

Must arrive on time, stay for full shift, and maintain excellent attendance.
