Job Title: Care Review Clinician I
Schedule: Full-time, Remote (Must work 8:30AM to 5PM EST, 9AM to 5:30PM EST, 9:30AM to 6PM EST Monday to Friday)
Location Requirement: Can be either an RN or a licensed social worker - must either be licensed in Kentucky or have a compact state license.
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST
Work Days: May include weekends/holidays
Payrate: $37.98/hr. on W2.
Job Description:
100% fully remote roles.
Available schedules: 8:30AM to 5PM EST, 9AM to 5:30PM EST, 9:30AM to 6PM EST Monday to Friday; weekend work needed as well if candidates want to work a flex schedule.
Requires basic computer skills.
Summary:
This person will work in collaboration with his/her supervising physicians.
He/she will provide primary care services within the Product of practice of a nurse.
Essential Functions:
Engage in practices constituting the practice of medicine in collaboration with and under the medical direction and supervision of a licensed physician to the degree required by state laws. He/she may also function as and perform all duties reasonably expected and assigned to an RN such as IV insertion and medication administration. Work as a partner with his/her supervising physician.
The NP is responsible for initiating collaboration, as it is needed.
The NP is responsible for knowing when a patient needs physician oversight and when the patients medical condition may be beyond the Product of knowledge of the NP.
Specific duties and functions:
Provide general medical care to all patients- adults and pediatrics.
Perform comprehensive evaluations including history and physical exams.
Address both chronic and acute primary care complaints, and able to ascertain medical urgency Establish reasonable medical diagnoses Seek specialty consultation as appropriate Order pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing for the medical diagnosis or presenting symptom; able to work within an environment of limited resources and therefore uses diagnostic tests judiciously and appropriately Discuss unusual or unclear symptoms or results with consulting physician in a timely manner Accept feedback and direction from the supervising physician Create and implements a medical plan of care Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures within his/her level of training and expertise, and as outlined on the practice agreement and written protocol with the supervising physician. Prescribe medications as appropriate Remain knowledgeable on current therapies Perform timely documentation in medical records. Returns charts to medical records office daily. Prepares and submits superbill at time of patient check out Procedure may include- (if in written agreement with supervising physician) o Removal of an IUD o Suturing o Simple I&D, removal of foreign body Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to abide by Clients policies Maintain regular attendance based on assigned schedule Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers
Required Education: Licensed in the state as an RN and Nurse Practitioner
Required Experience:
At least 0-2 years experience as a family nurse practitioner in an ambulatory setting Required Licensure/Certification: Licensed Nurse Practitioner
