Note: Please this team is located in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will work 3 days every week at the Mississauga campus
Duties:
The Visual Analytics Manager (VAM) is an expert in interpreting scientific requirements and designing fit-for-purpose data visualization solutions that enable stakeholders to efficiently review data and make informed critical decisions on our global clinical trials. The VAM is responsible for consistently aligning the practice of medical data review across all Client's sites and therapeutic areas. The VAM works directly with Clinical Scientists, Safety Scientists, identified partners, and other VA colleagues to ensure that scientific questions are explored thoroughly using creative data visualizations and effective collaboration.
The Visual Analytics (VA) team manages the implementation of medical data review and the application of tools (e.g., Spotfire ) by providing training, development of best practices, and dedicated support. The VAM contributes to optimizing medical data review by being an integral member of the Global VA team. The VAM contributes to and drives non-portfolio projects that significantly impact PDD.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and manages standard and custom study-level visualizations using tools like Spotfire , SAS, Python, R, Excel, SQL, Prism, or others to enable stakeholders to draw insights on primary data.
Uses strong technical expertise to find opportunities for harmonization, automation, efficiency, and simplification in data analysis and reporting.
Provides data analytics expertise, guidance, and stakeholder training on visualization tools and processes.
Influences and proactively gathers change requests for adoption into standard reporting templates, utilizing technical knowledge to improve existing systems.
Collaborates with other functional areas to align and simplify processes that provide redundancy in analytics, focusing on technical solutions.
Qualification:
Additional technical qualifications may be added as specific recruiting efforts require
College/University degree bachelor's or higher or equivalent education in a scientific, medical, or relevant technical discipline.
Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
Prior experience with visualization, analytical/statistical data analysis tools/programming languages (e.g., Spotfire, SAS, Python, R, Excel, SQL, Prism, or others).
Strong/thorough understanding of the end-to-end drug development lifecycle.
Delivers as part of a team and independently
Track record of establishing successful internal partnerships with relevant partner organizations.
Influential and confident communicator.
Demonstrates experience or is adaptable to utilizing and/or models, modern ways of working consistently with an agile mindset, behaviors, and methodologies (e.g., McKinsey - Agile Organizations).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ability to work across multiple cultures and countries.
Knowledge of GCP, international regulations, guidelines, their application, and all other applicable compliance standards is a plus.
