Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

Job Title: Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative I 
Location: Stamford, CT 
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension & Conversion)

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing a professional, patient-focused experience. This role requires accuracy, strong phlebotomy skills, and the ability to build trust with patients while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (including pediatric and geriatric patients)

• Prepare and process specimens following standard procedures

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment

• Provide excellent customer service and patient care

• Follow all compliance, safety, and confidentiality guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Phlebotomy experience (minimum 6 months; 1+ year preferred)

• Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)

• Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in some states)

• Strong data entry and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility for weekends/holidays/overtime if needed

Preferred Skills:

• Customer service experience

• Strong communication and attention to detail
