Job Title: MRI Tech
Job Location: Rancho Mirage, CA
Job Duration: 3+ Months Contract (Possibilities of Extension)

Pay range – $70 - $72/hr. on W2
 
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies; reports suspected violations.
  • Performs MRI procedures of high technical quality while ensuring patient safety with proper protection.
  • Proficiently operates imaging equipment and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Obtains pertinent medical information from patients to perform appropriate procedures.
  • Assists in other areas of the department during heavy workload; performs additional procedures as needed.
  • Cooperates fully in all risk management activities and investigations.
  • Participates in continuing education programs and learning experiences for professional growth.
  • Provides patient- and family-centered support: explains procedures, answers questions, uses distraction techniques, and ensures comfort during exams.
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation in the computer system.
  • Stocks procedure rooms daily and submits timely requests for needed supplies.
  • Safely moves patients between gurneys and tables.
  • Performs diagnostic procedures as ordered and assists Radiologist during procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness of Radiology equipment and rooms; ensures supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Documents any changes in patient condition using appropriate forms.
  • Performs receptionist and Radiology Assistant duties as needed.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, including positive identification and verification of physician orders.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines for working in magnetic fields.
  • Practices isolation techniques per policy and procedure.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Certifications (Required): ARRT, BLS.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Venipuncture certification, MRI certification, CRT (if performing CT scans).
  • At least two years of radiological experience in an acute care hospital, including proficiency in one or more modalities (CT, MRI, or Special Procedures).
  • Knowledge and skills to provide care for patients across the lifespan (neonates to geriatrics).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for assisting patients and families.
  • Effective communication skills, including age-specific techniques, to ensure patient cooperation for optimal results.
 
Education:
  • Associate degree in Radiology Technology OR completion of an AMA-approved hospital-based program.
