Job Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Job Duration: 3 Months+ contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: 12-hour (12*3) nights every other weekend, float as needed
Description:
The Critical Care Technician (CCT) assists the Registered Nurse with delegated tasks related to the acute care of the patient. Provides age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethically sensitive manner. Reports to the Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RN's on duty on each assigned shift. Other duties as assigned. Description:
The Critical Care Technician (CCT) assists the Registered Nurse with delegated tasks related to the acute care of the patient. Provides age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethically sensitive manner. Reports to the Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RN's on duty on each assigned shift. Other duties as assigned. Responsibility:
- Assist with feeding patients, ensuring they are comfortable during meals, and follow dietary restrictions as needed.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient charts, recording symptoms, treatments, and progress for medical review.
- Help patients and families understand basic care procedures, such as post-care instructions or lifestyle changes after discharge.
- Keep patient areas clean and ensure the hospital or care facility is free of hazards to prevent accidents or infections.
- Ensure that critical care areas are stocked with necessary supplies and medications, monitoring for low inventory and placing orders as needed.
- Quickly and effectively respond to emergency situations, assisting with resuscitation efforts, CPR, and other life-saving procedures when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
