Role Summary
The PSR II acts as the primary patient interface, performing high-quality phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary) and specimen processing. You will work independently in various settings, including doctor’s offices and patient service centers, ensuring accuracy, safety, and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

• Specimen Collection: Perform clinical and forensic blood draws (pediatric and geriatric) with skill and safety.
• Verification: Confirm patient demographics and ensure tubes are labeled/initialed in the patient’s presence.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and follow all EHS and HIPAA confidentiality protocols.
• Flexibility: Adapt to multiple locations with minimal notice; maintain strict attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of phlebotomy (must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
• Education: High School Diploma (required); Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (preferred).
• Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Skills: Data entry/keyboarding, superior customer service, and the ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Compliance: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
