Job Description: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Duration: 8 Months
Shift/Time Zone:M-F 6:30am-3:30pm including Saturdays 7:00am-11:00am
Overview: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of our company, interacting with patients who come in for both routine health checkups and significant life-defining health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing those specimens for lab testing. This role requires adherence to established practices and procedures while ensuring patients receive care in a safe, skilled, and accurate manner. The PSR I will foster a trusting environment, clearly explaining procedures to patients, and demonstrating leadership behaviors in every aspect of their duties.
Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times, ensuring all actions follow company policies and industry standards.

Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence, following established practices and procedures.

Maintain required records and documentation, ensuring all patient information is accurate and confidential.

Demonstrate organizational commitment by promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Ensure error-free work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing quality and safety in all tasks.

Work independently with minimal supervision, taking responsibility for personal and team outcomes.
Job Requirements:
-
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
-
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.

Strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, coworkers, and clients.
Required Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical training: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months experience required. One year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.

Must have keyboard/data entry experience.

Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
Additional Job Details:

Commute: Candidates must list their home city and commute time to the job site on their resume. Candidates should be within a 20-25 minute commute window to ensure their ability to travel to and from the site on time.

Reliability: Candidates must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle preferred). Public transportation options like bus, Uber, or rideshare are not considered reliable for punctuality.

Attendance: Timeliness is critical. Candidates must be available to work when scheduled, arrive on time, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
