Job Role: MRI Technologist
Location: Salinas, CA
Job Type: 3 Months+ (Hoping for candidates that want an 18-week contract)
 
Schedule: Mon - Fri Evenings (5days/8hr shift)
Local Pay: $60 - $75/hr. on W2
Max Pay Travel: $85/hr. - $3400/Gross weekly (Stipends included)
 
Job Duties:

• Perform MRI and CT scans across various anatomical areas (e.g., neuro, cardiac, abdominal, spine, extremities) based on physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and proper technique during imaging sessions.
• Administer IV contrast media and operate power injectors in compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards.
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after imaging procedures; provide assistance in emergency situations as needed.
• Operate imaging equipment proficiently, including post-processing of 3D reconstructions for both MRI and CT studies.
• Ensure patient safety compliance, including thorough screening for contraindications (implants, pregnancy, etc.) and emergency preparedness (MRI quench, power shutoff).
• Document procedures and maintain workflow using systems like PACS, EMAR, Meditech, and ensure accurate supply and charge entries.

 
Required Certification & Experience:

• ARRT (R) required
• ARRT (CT) and/or ARRT (MR) preferred
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting performing both CT and MRI procedures
• Proficiency with imaging software, patient positioning, and safety protocols in both modalities
