Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: North Bergen, NJ 07047
Duration: 05/10/2026 – 08/15/2026
Shift: Day, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Pay Range: $75-$80/hr.

Work Setting: Clinical / Hospital Nuclear Medicine
Requirements / Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a busy hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Experience operating Nuclear Medicine equipment
- PACS image evaluation
- Radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration
- Radionuclide procedures including organ imaging and function studies
- Radioactive tracer preparation
- Equipment calibration and radionuclide assays
- Experience receiving and inspecting radiopharmaceutical packages according to state and NRC guidelines
- Experience maintaining radioisotope accountability records
- EPIC, Teletracking System, Nuclear Medicine Information System
- Rotation support including Cardiology and PET/CT
Education:
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
Certifications & Licensure:
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Valid NJDEP License
- ARRT or NMTCB registry
- AHA BLS
Job Summary:
- Select and operate Nuclear Medicine equipment as directed
- Provide radiation protection for patient and staff in accordance with prescribed safety
- Perform radionuclide procedures and assist physician in therapeutic use of radioisotopes under safety conditions
- Evaluate images to ensure diagnostic quality and proper identification
- Maintain contamination-free conditions and follow NRC, State, and JCAHO guidelines
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Perform patient studies and support therapeutic isotope procedures
- Maintain records for receipt, use, storage and disposal of radioactive materials
- Perform daily clerical duties including patient scheduling and computer processing associated with studies
- Support scheduled shifts and overtime as needed for patient care
- Greet and support patients using A.I.D.E.T. standards
- Modify care delivery based on patient population needs and communication barriers
