Location: Remote
Duration: 4 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Arizona Time)
Pay Rate: $18.34/hr. on W2
Role Overview:
The NOA (Notice of Action) Letter Writer creates clear, accurate, and compliant letters explaining healthcare service or benefit decisions to health plan members. The role requires strong writing skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to handle high volumes of work while meeting strict deadlines.
Top Required Skills:
1. Regulatory-Compliant Writing:
Handle 3,000–4,000 letters/faxes per month

- Strong grammar and written communication
- Ability to simplify complex medical or policy information
Handle 3,000–4,000 letters/faxes per month
- Meet strict regulatory deadlines:
- 24-hour
- 72-hour
- 14-day
- Work with clinical, legal, customer service, and prior authorization teams
- Contact providers or members to obtain missing information
- Use templates, forms, and workflow systems accurately
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and edit NOA letters for medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services
- Ensure letters comply with AHCCCS and regulatory requirements. Use templates and letter-generation systems
- Meet strict turnaround times. Maintain HIPAA confidentiality standards
- Support prior authorization and NOA departments
- Perform quality checks and assist with audits. Manage high-volume letter and fax production
Basic Requirements:
- 1+ year experience with medical terminology
- Strong grammar and writing skills. Ability to work full-time in Arizona time zone
- Comfortable working with templates and computer systems. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare, insurance, or customer service experience
- Familiarity with AHCCCS, Medicare, or Medicaid programs
- Experience handling high-volume documentation
- Bilingual skills (preferred)
