Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)

Location: New Haven, CT
Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Eastern Time)
Duration: 3+ months
Pay Rate: $21/hr (W2)

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and interacting directly with patients. This role requires maintaining professionalism, ensuring patient comfort, and following all safety and procedural guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens accurately
• Verify patient information and maintain proper documentation
• Provide a safe, clean, and professional environment
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and ensure comfort
• Follow all compliance, confidentiality, and quality standards
• Work independently while meeting daily performance expectations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy experience (minimum 6 months; 1+ year preferred)
• Strong skills in pediatric and geriatric blood draws
• Basic medical training (MA or paramedic preferred)
• Data entry and customer service experience required
• Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, overtime as needed)
