Job Title: Phlebotomist
Duration: 3 Months
Locations: Bellingham, WA
Shift Time: Monday - Friday 0730-430/rotating weekends
Pay Range: $21.50/hr - $26/hr
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients visiting for routine lab work or important health-related decisions. In this role, you'll collect blood specimens safely and accurately, prepare them for lab testing, and ensure patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draw blood samples (venipuncture, capillary) from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Prepare and label specimens accurately according to standard procedures.
• Verify patient identity and ensure documentation is complete.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and supervisors.
• Travel to different locations as needed (requires valid driver’s license and clean record).
• Follow all company policies, including dress code and safety standards.
• Demonstrate leadership, customer service, and confidentiality.
Requirements:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA).
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• 2+ years working in a Patient Service Center preferred.
• Experience in retail or customer service settings is a plus.
• Proficient in data entry and keyboard use.
Skills & Abilities:
• Strong phlebotomy and specimen processing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced workload.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations.
Additional Notes:
• Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
• Must be able to adapt to schedule changes with minimal notice.
