Job Summary
The MRI Technologist, under the general supervision of a Radiologist, performs high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as ordered by a physician or licensed provider. The technologist ensures accurate imaging for diagnosis while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
-
ARRT or ARMRIT certification

BLS (AHA only)
-
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience

Experience working with client-specific MRI equipment
-
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform MRI procedures according to established exam protocols in a timely manner

Verify patient identity and ensure correct exam is performed

Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging

Screen patients for MRI safety compliance

Maintain equipment functionality and report issues as needed

Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory standards

Accurately document imaging procedures and maintain medical records

Educate patients and families regarding procedures and expectations

Provide support during emergency situations when required
