Location: Margate, FL 33063
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift:
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Rotational Saturdays: 6:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Position Overview:
The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) plays a key role as the face of the organization, assisting patients who visit for routine testing or critical diagnostic care. This role is responsible for collecting highquality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and following all established clinical and safety procedures.
As a Float Phlebotomist, the individual will travel between multiple sites based on staffing needs and must be able to adapt quickly to different environments. The PSR II will demonstrate leadership behaviors, professional communication, strong patient-care skills, and commitment to confidentiality and accuracy. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established procedures.
- Verify patient demographics and initials, ensuring postvenipuncture confirmation and that all tubes are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence.
- Complete and maintain required records, logs, and documentation.
- Deliver excellent customer service and promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, and colleagues.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and accuracy in information handling.
- Travel to multiple sites as assigned, often with minimal notice, and arrive on time at each scheduled location.
- Support staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, oncall shifts, and overtime.
- Adhere to all company policies, including dress code, safety guidelines, and the Everyday Excellence principles.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in fastpaced, highvolume environments.
- Communicate openly, demonstrate strong teamwork, and embrace organizational change.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to perform highquality, errorfree work in a fastpaced setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Flexibility to support variable schedules, site coverage, and extended hours.
- Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
- Bus, Uber, rideshare, or dropoffs are not considered reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel between multiple locations daily; mileage reimbursement is available between sites (not from home).
- Strong customer service skills in patientfacing environments.
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and use good judgment.
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent — Required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training — Preferred
- Phlebotomy certification — Preferred
- Mandatory only in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:

1–3 years of phlebotomy experience — Required
- Must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- 2 years of experience in a patient service center — Preferred
- Strong customer service experience in retail or service industries — Strongly Preferred
- Experience using laboratory systems or data-entry platforms — Required
Additional Job Details:
- Floaters must be punctual and on time to every assigned site.
- Must be available for all scheduled shifts and complete full shift hours.
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
- Mileage reimbursement is available between assigned work locations only.
