Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL
Duration: 6 months will full possibility of extension
Shift:  Mon-Fri w/rotational weekends 6:30 am – 3:30 pm
 

Job Summary:
The PSR I serves as the first point of contact for patients and is responsible for collecting blood specimens and preparing them for lab testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient service, and the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy (including pediatric and geriatric) and specimen processing per protocols

• Maintain accurate records and ensure patient data confidentiality

• Create a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients

• Explain procedures clearly and build trust with patients

• Follow daily operational tasks as directed by the supervisor

• Promote a positive company image and demonstrate leadership behaviors

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)

  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA)

• Experience:

  • 6+ months phlebotomy experience (required)

  • 1+ year phlebotomy and/or customer service experience (preferred)

  • Data entry/keyboard proficiency (required)

Requirements:

• Must be flexible (including weekends, holidays, on-call, and OT)

• Reliable personal transportation (rideshare/bus not accepted)
