Job Title: Senior Controls Specialist
Location: Jenkinsville, SC 29065
Duration: 12 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Summary:
This position supports the Nuclear Projects team with estimating projects and provides detailed estimate reports for Nuclear projects. Responsibilities include developing detailed cost estimates for nuclear projects across all phases (conceptual, preliminary, and final).

Summary:
This position supports the Nuclear Projects team with estimating projects and provides detailed estimate reports for Nuclear projects. Responsibilities include developing detailed cost estimates for nuclear projects across all phases (conceptual, preliminary, and final).
Key responsibilities:
- Provide original and revised project estimates in support of the annual capital budget development process.
- Identify and estimate labor, material, equipment, services, and other costs for projects.
- Interface with engineering teams to understand design Product and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project schedules and execution strategies.
- Engage with construction personnel to incorporate field conditions, labor productivity, and constructability considerations.
- Analyze historical data and industry benchmarks to validate and refine estimates.
- Prepare estimate documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Support risk analysis and contingency development for estimates.
- Maintain and update estimating tools, databases, and cost libraries.
- Assess workload and completion deadlines; multitask by estimating multiple projects concurrently.
- Utilize strong computer skills including estimating tools, spreadsheets, database applications, and Microsoft products.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience (Minimum Requirements):
- 7+ years of directly related experience in estimating, including financial estimation, construction, and/or engineering.
- Ability to perform in a high-paced, multi-task environment and independently plan and organize work schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with project teams, customers, other utilities, and government agencies.
- Must be able to review and understand Products.
- Strong computer skills and application of pre-packaged software programs.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Understanding of project life cycle and costs that come from project supporting activities.
- Deep knowledge of general industry news, trends, construction costs, and inflation rates.
- Highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and possess effective communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration or Construction Management.
- Minimum High School Diploma required.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
