Location: Cleveland, OH 44103
Duration: 2 + Months contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: 3rd Shift | 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (EST)
Schedule: Night shift, weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime as needed.
Pay Range: $17.20 - $17.74/hr. on W2
Job Overview:
Seeking a Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I) to join our team in a fast-paced, production-based lab environment. This role involves handling and preparing lab specimens, including data entry, sorting, centrifugation, and aliquoting. Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specimen processing tasks (A-station, presort, imaging, delivery, etc.).
- Accurately enter data (6,000+ keystrokes/hour).
- Work with various specimen types and follow compliance regulations.
- Communicate effectively across departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Medical/lab background preferred (not required).
- Must be comfortable working in a biohazard environment.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods and adapt to changing demands.
