Phlebotomist II
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Boonville MO
Duration: 3-4+ months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon - Thu 9am - 5pm, Fridays off
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, supporting them through routine health services or critical health decisions. The PSR II performs quality blood specimen collection and prepares samples for lab testing while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and confidentiality. This role involves patient interaction, explaining procedures, and demonstrating skillful and safe phlebotomy techniques. PSR IIs may work in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on schedule under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established practices and procedures.

Verify patient demographic information and initials; confirm patient signature post-venipuncture to ensure correct tube labeling.

Maintain required records, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focus on process excellence, and maintain confidentiality.

Exhibit excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Travel and flexible hours required to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.

Education & Certification Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience Requirements:

1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (required).
