Job Description: Work Location: Position is remote (but will require on site work ~4 times per month).
Responsibilities:
The Senior Procurement Analyst is responsible for procuring services and/or materials consistent with the needs of *** Long Island Procurement Operations Group. The Senior Procurement Analyst is responsible for accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development and contract administration while maintaining compliance with enterprise procurement policies and procedures. This position is an individual contributor role that initiates and coordinates procurement activities which include preparation of bid packages, conducting pre-bid meetings, evaluating bids, negotiating terms & conditions, issue contracts, amendments, purchase orders and change orders as required. The Senior Procurement Analyst independently negotiates and settles supplier claims and back-charges with guidance provided as needed. Additional responsibilities include fostering and implementing process improvement initiatives, client relationship management, communicating contractual commitments, and representing *** Long Island in the external marketplace. The Senior Procurement Analyst must have general knowledge of the sourcing process, prior experience in construction procurement, project management and contract law.
Requirements:
High School diploma required; Bachelors Degree preferred
Procurement experience valuable
Supply chain experience
Microsoft Proficiency required
High level written and verbal skills required
Excel spreadsheets
Interpersonal skills and organizational skills
Verbal and Written Communication Skills and reading for comprehension
Experience Levels:
Intermediate: Typically has up to approximately 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires some managerial oversight/direction.
Advanced: Full knowledge of related concepts. Typically has at least 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires minimal managerial oversight/direction.
Expert: Full knowledge of the function. Demonstrated ability to apply concepts to the functional area and see big picture impact of actions. Typically has approximately 7+ years of experience performing this specific job function and requires very limited managerial oversight/direction.
