Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Sheboygan, WI 53081
Duration: 3+ Months of Contract (with possible extension)
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9-hour days (Option for Fridays at Manitowoc Cardiology location), 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week
Note:
- We have other locations available as Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls and West Bend.
- You can refer your friends or colleagues for this role or any other role, we do offer a referral bonus of $250.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
- Graduate of a non-CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
- Military Medic/Corpsman training
Required Licensure & Certifications:
Must currently possess and be in good standing with one of the following Required:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
- AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire Preferred
- Certification through AAMA or an equal certification board
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years formal on-the-job Medical Assistant experience.
- EKG and Holter monitor application experience.
Job Summary:
- A Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team.
- Responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborates with the provider throughout the patient visit to ensure a comfortable experience.
- May be required to cross-train and float to maintain clinic operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
