Phlebotomist I
Location: Santa Rosa CA
Duration: 6 months+ (Temp to perm)
Shift: Mon-Fri 7:45AM - 4:45PM 3 week Sat rotation min of 3 weeks of training in Sonoma or Healdsburg
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, providing direct patient interaction during routine healthcare visits and critical, life-defining health decisions. This role is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while adhering to established procedures. The PSR I creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely, accurately, and skillfully.
The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing

Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established practices

Maintain accurate records and required documentation

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Communicate procedures clearly to patients and promote trust and comfort

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Job Requirements

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients

Flexibility to meet staffing needs, including:

On-call shifts

Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical training preferred (Medical Assistant or Paramedic)

Phlebotomy certification preferred
-
Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
-
Work Experience
-
Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience (Required)
-
1+ year phlebotomy experience preferred
-
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
-
Keyboarding and data entry skills required.
