Patient Care Technician

Job Title: Patient Care Technician
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Duration: 3 Months+ contract (possibility of extension)
 
Schedule Notes: 7 am - 7:30 pm (3*12) Hrs shift. Every Other Weekend Required.
 
Duties:

• Draws intravenous or capillary blood from newborn through geriatric aged patients using proper aseptic collection techniques, assure appropriate labelling and processing of specimens to expedite through put of patients.
• Performs EKG for patients as directed.
• Takes vital signs on admission under the direction of the RN, and documents accordingly, and notifies the RN of results, assists with admission as appropriate inclusive of checking of patient ID bands.
• Checks inventory of assigned area and restocks as directed.

• At least one (1) year PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.

• BLS – AHA
• PCT program certification
