Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company for patients, both as part of their regular health routine and during important health decisions.

The PSR II is responsible for skillfully drawing blood samples and preparing them for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.

This role involves direct interaction with patients, explaining procedures, and creating a trusting, professional atmosphere.

The PSR II will demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the accuracy of patient information.

Under the direction of the area supervisor, the PSR II will perform daily tasks accurately and efficiently, maintain a safe and professional environment, and follow established guidelines for specimen collection and processing.

The PSR II is expected to maintain required records and documentation and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal on-site supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime based on staffing needs.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and good judgment.

Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors, demonstrating excellent customer service.

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Ability to work at multiple locations as needed, with minimal notice.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard and data entry experience required.
