Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Contract Type: 13 weeks
Shift Details: Every Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Alternating Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Total Hours: 21 hours per week / 2 shifts weekly
Pay Rate: $55/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Role Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs and assists in diagnostic ultrasound examinations under physician supervision. This includes preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, analyzing imaging results, and maintaining a safe and organized clinical environment. The role also requires collaboration with healthcare professionals and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for ultrasound exams, verifying identity and obtaining medical history.
- Ensure procedures align with clinical indications and notify physicians of any contraindications.
- Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment, report malfunctions promptly.
- Explain procedures and instructions to patients and healthcare staff; answer general inquiries.
- Modify procedure plans using clinical judgment to optimize diagnostic results.
- Perform high-quality imaging exams; analyze findings and conduct required measurements.
- Minimize patient exposure to acoustic energy without reducing image quality.
- Communicate urgent findings to appropriate healthcare providers.
- Record diagnostic images and data; summarize preliminary findings for the radiologist.
- Maintain supplies and a clean, safe working environment.
- Assist in orienting and mentoring new ultrasound personnel.
- Support administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling, and arranging transport.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school graduate
- Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and ARMS certified
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist
