Shift: 1st shift M-F


Position Summary

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) represents the face of our company to patients who come in for routine health care or life-defining medical decisions. The PSR is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing according to established procedures. This role requires direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, and explaining procedures clearly while performing phlebotomy safely and accurately.

Successful candidates may be assigned to a doctor’s office, Patient Service Center, or other locations based on business needs.




Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

  • Collect both forensic and clinical specimens confidently, following established practices and procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information, obtain initials, and collect patient signatures post-venipuncture to ensure correct tube labeling.

  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.

  • Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

  • Exhibit Leadership Behaviors and process excellence skills while respecting patient confidentiality.




Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

  • Strong decision-making skills based on established procedures.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

  • Commitment to company Policies & Procedures, dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Attendance Requirements:

  • Must have reliable transportation (bus, Uber, rideshare not considered reliable).

  • Must be punctual and available for the entire scheduled shift.

  • Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is grounds for termination.

  • Candidates may be required to work at multiple locations with minimal notice.
