Job Description: Job Title: Project Manager III - Custom Services
As part of the Eugene Custom Services Project Management team, you will complete projects involving products and services not offered through the catalog. All projects and orders drive growth support the BioSciences Division as part of the Life Sciences Solutions Group.
How will you make an impact?
As a member of the custom products team, you will work directly with customers to assess their custom opportunity. You will be directly impacting our mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
What will you do?
Work directly with customers and/or account managers on new custom opportunities by determining customer requirements and feasibility of opportunity.
Determination of product cost and work with Product managers on pricing to provide quotes to customers. Provide necessary support to acquire and retain customers.
Act as liaison between Operations teams and the customer (directly and through other departments) to set customer expectations, address technical concerns, and feasibility of custom requests.
Manage customer orders from receipt of order to shipment of final product by working with various internal teams to ensure on time shipment.
Product a working knowledge of *** s manufacturing process and Standard Operating Procedures and the ability to see opportunities for improved effectiveness.
Creation of new or updating of current custom manufacturing documents, labels and regulatory documents
Provide technical direction and support for custom services, products and projects. Facilitate the information flow between operations, distribution, customer service, technical service, customers and sales on custom services, products and projects. Maintain positive interactions with Sales and the customer to facilitate order placement, technical product feasibility, address concerns and assist in determination of corrective action, as well as customer follow-up.
How will you get there?
Bachelor s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related discipline, or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience
Requires at least two (2) years experience in developing reagents for regulated/non-regulated markets, or 2+ years post undergraduate experience in a chemistry/biotechnology manufacturing environment, producing/developing products for the biotech/pharma/molecular diagnostic markets.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of learned laboratory techniques, equipment and materials required.
Demonstrated ability to understand and carry out written scientific production instructions required.
Experience assessing current processes and techniques and implementing procedural improvements.
Customer communication experience via multiple forms (i.e verbal and written).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to problem-solve utilizing process improvement methodologies (i.e. 5 whys) is preferred.
Computer literacy, including spreadsheet, database, internal systems (ERP, MRP, Sales, order entry, etc) and word processing applications as well as the Internet required.
Strong oral and written communication skills to identify problems and implement solutions in a team environment.
Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines.
Exact Schedule - 8am-5pm M-F
