Phlebotomist III - Floater
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 4 Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: The hours may vary, starting from 7 AM through 5:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) represents the face of the company to patients who visit for routine health needs or critical lab testing. This position is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and maintaining a professional, safe, and caring environment.
The PSR III builds trust and confidence with patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing venipunctures skillfully, safely, and accurately. As a Floater, the PSR III provides coverage at multiple sites and is expected to travel as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Specimen Collection

Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Verify patient identity, demographics, and labeling information; ensure patients confirm accuracy post-collection.

Explain collection procedures clearly and provide a compassionate experience for every patient.

Maintain specimen integrity and follow established lab procedures for specimen handling and processing.
Operational Duties

Accurately perform daily tasks and meet assigned deadlines.

Maintain required records, logs, and documentation in accordance with company policy.

Ensure cleanliness, safety, and professionalism in all work areas.

Job Requirements:
Technical & Professional Skills

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in high-volume settings.

Proficient in data entry and keyboarding.

Ability to provide error-free, quality work with minimal supervision.

Education & Certifications:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:

Required: Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Additional Details:

Transportation: Must have reliable, personal transportation to travel between sites.

Mileage Reimbursement: Available for travel between assigned locations.
