We are seeking a Lab Assistant to support routine laboratory operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities include:
- Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM EST, Monday–Friday
- Location: Miramar, FL
- Duration: 3 months
We are seeking a Lab Assistant to support routine laboratory operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving, sorting, and preparing specimens for testing
- Centrifuging samples, labeling, and data entry (e.g., temperature logs)
- Assisting with specimen processing (aliquoting, slide prep, inoculation, worklists)
- Performing routine equipment maintenance and QA/QC tasks
- Managing specimen storage, retrieval, and resolving missing samples
- Preparing reagents/media and maintaining lab cleanliness (decontamination, biohazard disposal)
- Supporting compliance with safety standards, PPE, and lab protocols
- Using laboratory computer systems and PCs for documentation and trackin
- High school diploma or equivalent (medical assistant training or science coursework preferred)
- No prior experience required
- Strong ability to multitask, follow procedures, and retain training
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
