Job Duration: 12+ Month contract (Possibilities of Extension)

Job Description:
- Maintains logs for shipments and files packaging slips.
- Works with vendors to make sure shipments are on time.
- Work in a team environment to coordinate the packing of customer and internal orders aligned shipping Transportation needs.
- Communicate shipment requirements to team.
- Perform final accuracy check on shipping paperwork to prevent shipping errors.
- Process shipment paperwork using PeopleSoft.
- Work with carriers to schedule / modify pick-ups, obtain shipment data, file customs paperwork, and resolve issues.
- Process small package shipments using UPS / FEDEX software.
- Work with Customer Service, Planning, and IT for shipment changes/issues.
- Review and coordinate movement of trailers between site building.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with ERP based logistics/shipping transaction/software.
- Experience scheduling and working with 3rd party carrier logistics.
- Ability to certify for forklift, box truck use.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability prioritizes responsibilities while working in an irregular work environment with changing priorities and multiple tasks.
- Must have the ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Devoted plant safety culture and looks for ways to make the department a safer place to work.
- Strong problem-solving skills that drill down the root cause of an issue.
- Flexibility with shift requirements as overtime will be required as needed.
- Forklift Certified
- PeopleSoft and/or SAP logistics/shipping experience
- Previous warehouse experience involving pick/pack robotics systems.
- Willing tact as a motivator and role model for the Shipping Department
