Process Technician III

The Injection Molding Process Technician will support process development (PD) engineers and project teams in the development of new injection molded components, processes, and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, prototype development, and optimizing molding processes to ensure high-quality production.

• Injection Molding Operations: Develop, set up, and run injection molded components for new product development.
• Process Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in molding processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Prototype Development: Collaborate with PD and Manufacturing teams to create prototype components for testing.
• Tooling & Fixturing: Qualify tooling and fixtures to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Mechanical Drawing & CAD: Utilize CAD software for documenting prototypes and fixtures.
• Process & Quality Standards: Assist in establishing specifications, quality standards, and process improvements.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and support equipment strategy.
• Mentorship & Training: Act as a resource and mentor junior team members, training production staff for proper process implementation.
• Project Communication: Provide updates on project status to engineering and manufacturing teams.

3+ years of experience with an AA degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Experience in injection molding and process development
Strong troubleshooting skills for molding processes
Ability to work with engineering teams and assist in prototype development
Familiarity with mechanical drawings and CAD software

Experience in new product development (NPD) and prototype testing
Knowledge of metrology and calibration for process development
Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and process optimization
