Job Title: Project Manager
Job Location: New York, NY
Job Duration: 5-6 Months (possibility of extension)
Payrate: $50 - $65/ hr. on w2
Should be local to NY Area.
Principal Duties:
- Possess management experience, encompassing personnel, program, project, and budget development.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of IT general application and computer control objectives based on industry standards.
- Coordinate with all teams to meticulously define requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
- Capable of identifying necessary resources to achieve project completion deliverables.
- Requires a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, initiative, self-supervision, and proficient influencing abilities.
- Collaborate with all key members to ensure that deployment deliverables are met within the specified timeframe.
- Accurately and promptly record deployment checklists, documentation, release forms, asset information, work logs, and other project activities in the appropriate system, including the date, time, activity summaries, workforce members, and all required data elements to ensure accurate tracking and recording of the Projects.
- Provide direct troubleshooting of end-user devices to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Adhere to established deployment schedules and timelines to ensure the achievement of project/department milestones and goals.
- Requires travel to the various facilities located within the five boroughs.
- When restoration activities exceed the established Product, escalate the issue within the End User Innovations team for resolution.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, workstation hardware or software, and applications, leveraging tool capabilities and methodologies to load, copy, and customize operating system configurations.
- Perform work in compliance with specified warranty requirements and return defective equipment or parts to maintenance inventory, document customer repairs, maintain, and restock assigned parts inventory.
- Maintain, follow, and consistently demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of EITS and Clients guidelines, processes, practices, and procedures.
- Ensure adequate support for clients and provide professional customer service to end-users for project implementations.
- Prepared and willing to execute any other reasonable instruction or task accurately and on time.
- Manage time efficiently and effectively, set priorities appropriately, schedule calls, maintain a professional demeanor under pressure, and operate within the standard operating procedures.
- May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
Position Requirement:
- Deliver demand management (intake for business requests), portfolio management and oversight and reporting solutions for defined programs within the EITS PMO and Governance group.
- Requires a broad background with financial management, program and project management, service level agreements, objectives, incident reporting, demand management, process and procedure development, change management and risk analysis.
- Requires subject matter leadership, excellent communications skills, and ability to navigate a complex and diverse landscape, and interact effectively as a team lead and liaison with our business partners.
- Responsible for managing and leading multiple direct reports.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Management experience, including people, program, project and budget creation.
- Has established solution development life cycle processes with cross team and domain solution reviews.
- Sound understanding of IT general application and computer control objectives based on industry standards.
- Has established IT operational processes and procedures.
- Has established book of demand intake, prioritization and change management processes.
- Must have strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Has strong leadership skills.
- Is customer service focused, with good communications skills, a self-starter, self-supervised and has good influencing skills.
- Establishes and matures business relationships with our business partners across EITS and Healthcare Facilities.
- Lead, motivate, and provide training and coaching to team members in order to support Corporate and EITS PMO requirements.
Educational Level:
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, or Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or a related field and three years of full-time experience planning, developing and monitoring programs, systems and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, one year of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or
- A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, or Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline and four years of full-time experience as outlined in “1” above, two years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or
- A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
Years of Experience:
-
8–10 years’ experience in IT Program Mgmt.
Certifications / NYS Licenses:
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired.
- Certified Scrum Master.
Knowledgeable In:
- Budget Management.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT budget, project portfolio, and operational improvement plans.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing ISACA COBIT business framework and established governance, control, risk and audit processes for an IT organization.
- Experience leading a team responsible for supporting an IT Shared Services organization.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desired.
- Experience with the Agile Method is desirable.
- ISACA CISA Certification is desirable.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Project, Visio and SharePoint tools.
- Experience in the health care industry.
