Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: The Villages, FL
Duration: 3+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Rotational Saturday)
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality service to patients during routine health visits or critical diagnostic procedures. This role involves collecting blood specimens skillfully and safely, ensuring accurate preparation for laboratory testing, and maintaining a professional and trustworthy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Collect forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Accurately document and maintain required records.
- Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive image of the organization.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Preferred)
- Keyboard/data entry experience (Required)
Skills:
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must list their home city and commute time on their resume.
- Commute time to the job site must be within 20–25 minutes.
- Reliable transportation is required (rideshare/bus not acceptable).
- Punctuality and full shift attendance are mandatory; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may result in termination.
