Title:Phlebotomist II
Location:Huntington Beach, CA
Shift: Mon- Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm
Duration: 6-7 months

Job Description:

• PSR II is the main contact for patients, handling blood sample collection and preparation for lab testing.

• Creates a trusting environment, explains procedures, and ensures safe, accurate specimen collection.

• Adheres to confidentiality, leadership, and process excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor guidance.

• Maintain a safe, professional environment.

• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection per established protocols.

• Verify patient info and ensure correct labeling of specimens.

• Keep accurate records and documentation.

• Promote a positive image and organizational commitment.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric).

• Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Adhere to policies and procedures (dress code, health & safety).

• Make decisions based on established procedures.

• Reliable transportation and clean driving record (if applicable).

• Travel and flexible hours required for multiple locations.

• Excellent customer service, communication, and adaptability to change.

Training:

• Training locations may vary.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA).

Work Experience:

• 3 years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections).

• 2 years in a Patient Service Center preferred.

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Keyboard/data entry skills required.
