Phlebotomist II
Title:Phlebotomist II
Location:Huntington Beach, CA
Shift: Mon- Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm
Duration: 6-7 months
Job Description:

PSR II is the main contact for patients, handling blood sample collection and preparation for lab testing.

Creates a trusting environment, explains procedures, and ensures safe, accurate specimen collection.

Adheres to confidentiality, leadership, and process excellence.
Responsibilities:
-
Complete daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor guidance.

Maintain a safe, professional environment.
-
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection per established protocols.
-
Verify patient info and ensure correct labeling of specimens.
-
Keep accurate records and documentation.
-
Promote a positive image and organizational commitment.
Job Requirements:
-
Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
-
Work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Strong phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric).
-
Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Adhere to policies and procedures (dress code, health & safety).

Make decisions based on established procedures.

Reliable transportation and clean driving record (if applicable).

Travel and flexible hours required for multiple locations.

Excellent customer service, communication, and adaptability to change.
Training:
-
Training locations may vary.
Required Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA).
Work Experience:
-
3 years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections).

2 years in a Patient Service Center preferred.

Customer service experience preferred.
-
Keyboard/data entry skills required.
