Oversees the operations and strategic planning of the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program. Directs fiscal planning, budget development, billing, and collection functions. Monitors fiscal condition of the program and assures adequate resources.

Job summary:
Oversees the operations and strategic planning of the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program. Directs fiscal planning, budget development, billing, and collection functions. Monitors fiscal condition of the program and assures adequate resources.
Job responsibilities:
- Evaluate the entity's compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, TJC accreditation, and state regulations.
- Direct the design and development of the DME quality improvement plan.
- Coordinate the implementation of a process improvement plan in accordance with Medicare and TJC guidelines.
- Assist in the development of action plans and follow through on issues identified in customer surveys.
- Assist in evaluating community needs and plan programs and services designed to meet those needs.
- Promote community relations by involvement in community affairs and serving on related boards and committees.
- Exercise independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives, subject to general review in final stages only.
- Provide direct supervision of others.
- Prepare and give performance evaluations.
- Work directly with patients and/or customers.
- Work with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff.
- Frequently interact with individuals at director level or above.
Required education:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration.
- Master’s degree in Public Health Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with comparable experience.

Skills:
Required skills & experience:
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare, TJC, federal, and state regulations.
- Demonstrated effective management skills.
Preferred skills & experience:
- High-level durable medical equipment experience.
