Duration: 4 Months+ Contract (with possible extension)
 
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours/Week: 40

Travel Required: Yes – must be flexible with hours and location (VIP account coverage)
 
Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist II (Patient Services Representative II) serves as a key representative of the company, responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens from patients in various settings such as doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or mobile locations. This role requires a balance of strong phlebotomy skills, excellent customer service, and professionalism to ensure patient confidence and accurate specimen processing.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Accurately label specimens and verify patient demographics following venipuncture.
  • Maintain professionalism, safety, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis per established procedures.
  • Operate with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment in routine activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while explaining procedures and managing patient expectations.
  • Travel to multiple patient service locations as needed with minimal notice.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and comply with all company policies including dress code and safety protocols.
 
Qualifications:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
Preferred:
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training.
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred in TX).
  • 2 years' experience in a Patient Service Center setting.
  • Previous customer service experience in healthcare or retail/service industry.
  • Keyboard/data entry proficiency.
 
Additional Notes:
  • Must be adaptable and able to travel across locations to support high-priority (VIP) accounts.
  • Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
