This role will be 100% onsite, Please submit local candidates. I will review junior level candidates and pay rates / bill rates will be based on the experience they have. Please submit candidates according to their skill levels.
Notes from the manager: The candidate in this role will be doing alot of documentation work with limited hands on product work. Root cause analysis and documentation is a must as well as validation documentation. I want someone who has worked in a regulated environment.
The Manufacturing Engineer position provides the successful candidate with an immediate opportunity to be involved with technology that helps save lives, improve patient outcomes, and reduce the cost of medicine around the world. Your Responsibilities
In this role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will focus primarily on releasing new products into manufacturing. In addition, you will play a key role in developing new manufacturing processes and implementing process controls. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Work collaboratively with R&D and operations to develop new processes.
Work with the R&D team to optimize new designs for manufacturability.
Transfer new transducer designs from R&D into manufacturing.
Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing and quality problems, including yield and nonconforming product.
Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction solutions using lean manufacturing techniques to improve product cost structure.
Develop and execute design and process verification activities, including statistical analysis, similarity, and testing.
Identify, specify, and coordinate installation and validation of new manufacturing equipment.
Experience/Education:
B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering or related field and up to 3 years of practical experience applying engineering principles in a manufacturing environment
Required Skills:
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to provide technical leadership in ambiguous situations
Excellent communication (written and verbal), team leadership, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Statistical Methods (Process Capability, SPC, Trend Analysis)
Computer literate in MS Office Applications
Desired Skills/Experience:
Experience in a regulated environment -
Lean manufacturing experience
Experience with the validation, documentation, and manufacturing of medical devices
