Job Location: Las Vegas, NV 89101
Job Duration: 4 Months+ (high chance of extension)
Shift hours: Thu, Fri, Sat 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Pay Rate: $19 - $23/hr. on w2
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and represents the company in a professional and compassionate manner. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and ensuring accuracy and patient comfort throughout the process. The PSR I fosters trust by clearly explaining procedures and performing all duties safely and efficiently while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Collect and process both clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping at all times.
- Provide excellent patient care, creating a positive and reassuring experience.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
- Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical training, such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic, is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is required.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience is required.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is preferred.
- Strong keyboard and data entry skills are required.
