Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in firewall administration and network security.
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls.
- Proven experience with Ivanti SSL VPN Gateway.
- Strong experience with Cisco ACI and micro-segmentation.
- Solid understanding of Linux server commands and administration.
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume workloads.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA), Juniper Certified Internet Specialist (JCIS), or equivalent are highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Firewall Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain firewall policies and rules for Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls.
- Configure and manage Ivanti SSL VPN Gateway to ensure secure remote access.
- Implement and manage Cisco ACI for network segmentation and micro-segmentation.
Security Operations:
- Monitor firewall logs and security events to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
Network Administration:
- Utilize strong networking skills to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Implement and maintain network segmentation strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure network infrastructure aligns with security best practices.
Linux Server Management:
- Execute and manage Linux server commands for system administration and security.
- Ensure the security and performance of Linux-based servers within the network.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Prepare and present reports on security posture, incidents, and improvements.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
