People Specialist
Duties:
Job Summary: The People Specialist advances the functions of the department using excellent process, emerging technology, and agile work approaches. The People Specialist is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, conducting, and executing effective programs. This is a senior individual contributor role which requires strong program management, communication, and analytical skills as well as experience and understanding of process and scalability. The Specialist reporting relationship reflects the needs of the organization at any given time.
A Specialist is assigned to work in an area of specialization, an assignment which may rotate over time. Specialization areas of the Specialist may include:
-Management of workers compensation cases necessary tracking, communication with employees, supervisors, and workers compensation carrier.
-Helping with employee inquiries and audits of employee data.
-Experience working with workers compensation cases.
-Operations responsible for one or more significant processes or functions, including the design, strategy, and execution.
-Client Management serve clients and provide input/direction to People team members with a continuous improvement mindset.
-Programs oversee People projects and program(s), deploying a central-led approach (e.g., define strategy, establish standards of practice and measurement, develop delivery capabilities including people and tools).
-The Specialist will collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to promote Client values, team culture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-People Specialist is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, conducting, and executing effectively for defined program, process, or other area of responsibility.
-Execute and continuously improve in People Department assignment area, soliciting and leveraging customer/client feedback.
-Tracks results and KPIs in assignment area and continually takes actions for improvement.
-Lead project or process improvement efforts that involve multi-disciplinary team members.
-Manage ongoing organizational initiatives that enable and improve company culture and the team member experience.
-Standardizes the People team s practices/processes contributing to Client scale and replicability mission expansion aspirations, in alignment with our values.
-Participates in the People Department IDT bringing expertise and ideas to the conversation.
-Ensures HR services are delivered with high quality service excellence principles and with a commitment to compliance.
-Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends.
-Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
-Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about employees, participants, families, and activities.
-Follow Client policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training and meetings.
-Exercises flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.
-Have the ability to work independently, communicating regularly with supervisor and team regarding workload and priorities.
-Uphold the standards set in the Client Code of Conduct and promote professionalism and ethical business standards in all Company Activities.
-Timely completion of all mandated trainings and education.
-Timely completion of all mandated occupational health screenings as needed.
-Maintain compliance with Federal healthcare regulations.
-Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Required Skills & Experience:
-Two or more years business experience in human resources, operations, strategy, or
related field.
-Team Member must be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social services disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. The work setting is in an Adult Day Health Center, primary care clinic, other healthcare settings like hospitals, emergency departments and participant home environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures.
-Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives inclusive of successful change management.
-Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills across stakeholders and contexts.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
-Strong analytical skills, including use of Excel and other technologies.
-Experience leadings multi-disciplined project or process improvement teams.
-Able to lean into data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to inform and
execute on projects.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Ability to be agile and flexible with priorities as well as willingness to lean into work in a
variety of topics/genres.
-Strength in working collaboratively with other individuals to accomplish a goal.
-Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
-Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and
cultures.

Physical Requirements
-Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must be able to communicate with all staff, vendors, and clients. Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye
-hand coordination; the ability to use department equipment. Requires lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. and pushing or pulling 150 lbs. using appropriate body mechanics and equipment, with reasonable accommodation if needed, may vary based on specific role duties and responsibilities.
-Visual, Hearing and Communication Requirements
-Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to communicate by way of the telephone with participants, customers, vendors, and staff.
-Pressure Factor
-Requires working under stressful conditions. Working conditions may be noisy and crowded and fluctuating indoor temperatures. Moderate pressure to meet scheduled deadlines. Potential for exposure to verbal aggression by Participants and/or their family members who may suffer from comorbidities such as dementia or mental health challenges.
-Environmental Conditions
-May be exposed to a risk of bodily injury through contact with moving instrumentation, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily fluids, communicable diseases, and any other conditions common in a healthcare environment. May be subjected to unpleasant odors.
