Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I / Phlebotomist
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 6 months
Shift:Mon-Fri 630a-330pm & Mandatory Saturday rotation 7a-12p. 35-40 hours per week. No Overtime.
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the frontline contact for patients, responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens accurately and safely.

Provide excellent patient service by building trust and clearly explaining procedures.

Maintain accurate records and ensure patient information confidentiality.

Follow established protocols and demonstrate leadership behaviors.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Work independently and manage tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred); phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere).

Experience: Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (required); 1+ year preferred. Customer service and data entry experience preferred.

Skills: Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy, attention to detail, confidentiality, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Availability: Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
