Phlebotomist II - Float
Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Float
Location: Oakland Park, FL 33334
Duration: 3-4 months+
Shift: Monday thru Friday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm & Rotational Saturdays 6:30 am - 11:00 am
Must have flexibility for availability between 6am-4pm, depending on site to be covered for the day
Description:
The PSR II is the frontline representative interacting with patients, responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing. They create a trusting environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing safe, accurate phlebotomy, including paediatric and geriatric collections. The role requires strong customer focus, confidentiality, leadership behaviors, and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing with accuracy and professionalism.
- Verify patient information and ensure correct specimen labeling.
- Maintain records and documentation.
- Provide excellent patient communication and support.
- Adapt to flexible hours, travel between sites, and work independently.
- Promote a safe, professional, and positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in Patient Service Centers and customer service preferred.
- Strong data entry and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record; flexible to travel and work weekends/holidays.
- Commitment to punctuality, attendance, and company standards.
Additional Notes:
- Floaters cover multiple locations and must be on time with mileage reimbursement.
